MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 24, 1990
Costa strongly opposed walkway easements feeling that
there would be an adverse effect on lots.
Scalze felt these easements were working well in the
Thunder Bay Road and Ontario Road areas.
Costa stated that he opposed the horseshoe
configuration because he felt that his prime lots would
be located along DeSoto and this would cause for the
loss of lots along that street.
Fahey stated that he liked the suggestions of running
Costa Lane north to Allen or horseshoeing it to DeSoto.
It was pointed out that if the Costa Lane was
horseshoed over to DeSoto, there is one lot that would
be effected in the same manner as the Bruehn lot if
Costa Lane connected to Vanderbie. It was pointed out that
the Fire Department and Public Works Department are
opposed to these long cul-de-sacs, not to mention the
difficulty school buses have in manuevering on them.
Bruehn stated that until he is ready to sell his
property, he does not want to be assessed. Bruehn
stated that he would dedicate his 20 feet for road
right-of-way at no cost if he is not assessed until he
is ready to sell.
Fahey stated that he would support the extension of
Costa Lane over to DeSoto Avenue on the north.
Pete Costa pointed out the expense for making changes
in the plan drawings. Costa stated that he supported
Page 9
