MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 28, 1990 <br />out that Mr. Brausen is proposing to increase the size <br />of the property located at 2822 Rice Street as well as <br />have a shared parking arrangement with the adjacent <br />property which is developed with a barber shop and shoe <br />repair. Both the City Planner and Planning Commission <br />have recommended approval of the request. <br />There was no one from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Blesener asked if access would be retained for the <br />barber shop and shoe repair. <br />Brausen replied that it would. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-11-526 - APPROVING THE LOT SPLIT AND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SHARED PARKING AS REQUESTED <br />BY TED BRAUSEN FOR THE PROPERTY AT 2822 RICE STREET <br />SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS <br />CONTAINED IN HIS REPORT DATED NOVEMBER 1, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />REZONING, Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the <br />CONCEPT PUD, rezoning of the property at 177 E. County Road B from <br />PLAN REVIEW R-1 to PUD, concept stage PUD of the first phase, and <br />BACHMEIER plan review as requested by Donald Bachmeier, Bachmeier <br /> Corporation. Fahey noted that both the City Planner <br /> and Planning Commission have recommended approval of <br /> the request. Fahey pointed out that the developer is <br /> proposinq several phases of office buildings on the <br /> property. Fahey also noted that the Council had <br /> previously approved the use of Tax Increment Financing <br /> for the development of this site. <br /> Mr. Donald Bachmeier, Bachmeier Corporation, reported <br /> that he is proposing 235,000 square feet of phased-in <br /> high-tech office/showroom space. The first phase would <br /> consist of 50,000 square feet. <br /> Bachmeier reported that the objection raised at the <br /> Planning Commission meeting is that the proposed <br /> Page 11 <br />
