MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 12, 1990 compensation insurance costs. The Administrator reported that he had asked the insurance agent to look into the area of workers' compensation coverage, however, no recommendation was received. The Administrator stated that he did not believe it was in the City's best interests to pursue its relationship with its present insurance agent, and based on the initiative and reference received from the City of Columbia Heights, Mr. Seppelt should be given the opportunity to serve as the City's insurance aqent. Fahey pointed out that it will be the insurance agent's job to obtain cost savings for the City, and not just handle the renewal of present policies. Seppelt agreed, and stated that if the City or a business is paying an agent a commission, they are being paid to earn that commission by ensuring the best coverage at the least cost possible. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-12-546 - AUTHORIZING AMERICAN AGENCY, INC. AND DAVID SEPPELT TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AS ITS INSURANCE AGENT OF RECORD EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1991 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. IRB - Fahey pointed out that Viking Partnership is requesting VIKING an amendment to their 1982 Industrial Revenue Bond. PARTNERSHIP Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-12-547 - AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A SECOND SUPPLEMENTAL INDENTURE OF TRUST RELATING TO THE $1,000,000 COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS OF 1982 (VIKING PARTNERSHIP PROJECT) AND RELATED DOCUMENTS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
