MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 26, 1990 <br />sections with regard to State Law. <br />Blesener pointed out the wording on page 67 with regard <br />to the number of licenses the City has, pointing out <br />that the City currently has one license available and <br />two additional which were granted by the Legislature. <br />Fahey suggested that prior to adoption of the <br />Ordinance, the City should submit it to the liquor <br />license holders within the City to get their comments. <br />LaValle expressed concern with the Wine License fee as <br />indicated on page 51. It was pointed out that the <br />current fee is $100 and the proposed Ordinance states <br />$1,125. <br />Fahey suggested that the wine License fee remain at <br />$100. <br />LaValle pointed out that on page 62 the word "days" <br />should be changed to "years". <br />LaValle asked if the liquor license fees for an "A <br />License" should be different from those for a"B <br />License". <br />Fahey did not believe there was much difference in the <br />value of the license believing that the value was <br />actually the availability of the license. <br />LaValle felt that the Ordinance should indicate that <br />the $500 investigative fee is a one-time fee and <br />collected at initial application. <br />Blesener suggested that the reference to "drug stores" <br />on pages 63 and 66 in the proposed Ordinance be looked <br />at to determine if this reference is in the City's <br />existing Ordinance. <br />Blesener asked what the reference to the applicant <br />providing financial responsibility meant. <br />The City Attorney replied that this means that <br />insurance coverage is required. <br />Blesener questioned Section 702.100 (2). <br />The City Attorney replied that he would check on the <br />source of that provision. <br />Council discussed the provisions in Section 703.030 <br />which set the minimum standards for the various classes <br />of licenses. <br />Blesener suggested that there should not be the two <br />Page 13 <br />
