MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 23, 1991 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 341 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LITTLE <br />CANADA ZONING ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION <br />OF ADULT USES INCLUDING THE CORRECTION TO THE ORDINANCE <br />AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY AND ADDITION OF PUBLIC <br />ZONING DISTRICTS TO THE LIST OF USES FROM WHICH MINIMUM <br />DISTANCES MUST BE MAINTAINED <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE N0. 342 - AN ORDINANCE REGULATING ADULT USE <br />ACTIVITIES AND BUSINESSES <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />Blesener pointed out the comments by Art Herkenhoff at <br />the Planning Commission meeting that the City should <br />totally prohibit adult use businesses. Blesener noted <br />that State Law and Federal Law does not allow the City <br />to prohibit these businesses, however, the City can <br />adopt stringent controls to regulate these businesses. <br />The adoption of these ordinances is in no way an <br />enticement to adult use businesses to locate in the <br />City. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-1-27 - PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION <br />OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF AN ORDINANCE ADDING AND <br />AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-1-28 - PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION <br />OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER <br />817 TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0).
