MINUTES CITY COUNCIL February 27, 1991 that use the City's fields have between 17 and 20 percent residents not counting those individuals who work within the City. Morelan did not feel that figure was out-of-line with other cities. Morelan indicated that most cities do charge an extra fee if the percentage of residents falls below a certain level. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-2-78 - APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN ADULT TEAM MAINTENANCE FEE OF $50.00 FOR USE OF CITY BALLFIELDS BY ADULT TEAMS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Council suggested that Morelan submit a year-end report to the Council on this matter. PIONEER PARK Morelan reported that the Park Commission has requested PLAY authorization to advertise for bids for construction of STRUCTURE a handicapped accessible play structure in Pioneer Park. Morelan reported that the Lake Owasso Residence Volunteer Council has informed the City that they would contribute $20,000 towards the construction of this play structure. The City has also budgeted funds for this improvement. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-2-79 - AUTAORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE PLAY STRUCTURE IN PIONEER PARK The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. THUNDER BAY Morelan reported that the Park Commission is requesting PLAY authorization to advertise for bids for construction of STRUCTURE a play structure in Thunder Bay Park. Little Canada Charities Plus has contributed $25,000 towards the cost of this play structure, and the City has budgeted funds as well. Page 13
