MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 27, 1991 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-3-121 - ADOPTING THE 1991 WATER AND <br />SEWER BUDGETS AS PRESENTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SKATEBOARDS Collova reported that the City of Shoreview is <br />considering adoption of an ordinance regulating <br />skateboard ramps. Collova suggested that once <br />Shoreview adopts this ordinance, the City obtain a copy <br />and review it. <br />TRAIL Scalze reported that the residents of the Westwinds <br />IMPROVEMENTS area have requested that the Park Commission extend <br />the City's trail system in their area. The Park <br />Commission will be holding a public meeting on this <br />issue during May. The Park Commission has requested <br />that a survey of the area be done in order that plans <br />can be drafted for the trail. <br />Hanson pointed out the residents request that the trail <br />extend around the pond. Hanson asked about the depth <br />of the pond and the City's liability. <br />Blesener reported that Council has discussed the <br />liability issue and it was decided that the City was <br />better off not fencing ponds because once fenced there <br />could be the assumption that the City has accepted <br />liability. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-3-122 - AUTHORIZING THE SURVEY OF THE <br />WESTWINDS TRAIL AREA AS WELL AS DRAFTING OF PLANS FOR <br />TRAIL EXTENSION IN THIS AREA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0).
