MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 1991 <br />The City Administrator reviewed the proposal of Sanders <br />Wacker Wehrman Bergly, Inc. for landscape plan design <br />for the City Center. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the followinq resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-5-183 - APPROVING AND AWARDING THE <br />PROPOSAL OF SANDERS WACKER WEHRMAN BERGLY, INC. FOR <br />DESIGN OF CITY CENTER LANDSCAPING PLAN AT A COST NOT TO <br />EXCEED $1,250 WITH CITY STAFF TO HANDLE AS MUCH OF THE <br />PROCESS AS POSSIBLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO REDUCE COSTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />TAX FORFEIT The City Administrator reported that the County plans <br />PROPERTY - to put the strip of tax forfeit property just south of <br />ALLEN AVE. Allen Avenue up for public auction unless the City <br />requests otherwise. The Administrator pointed out that <br />this strip is necessary for the David Wriqht property <br />to be able to divide two lots fronting on Costa Lane. <br />Blesener reported that Milan Moravetz is also <br />interested in acquiring the section as it abuts his <br />property. <br />Hanson stated that he did not feel the City should <br />become involved in the process. <br />Collova agreed, and felt that the City should let free <br />enterprise work. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-5-184 - DECLARING THE CITY'S POSITION <br />TO ALLOW THE COUNTY TO PUT THE TAX FORFEITED PROPERTY <br />SOUTH OF ALLEN AVENUE UP FOR PUBLIC AUCTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE STATION The Council reviewed the bids received for fencing, <br />LANDSCAPING landscaping, and irrigation at the new Fire Station <br />site. The Administrator reported that the Fire <br />Department has also asked for the addition of a <br />concrete sidewalk on the east side of the building. <br />Page 20 <br />
