MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 11, 1991 <br />The City Administrator informed Walsh that it was her <br />right to object to an assessment for the improvement. <br />However, the 50% figure gave him a basis to work with <br />in putting together assessment recommendations. <br />Mrs. Tarnowski, 3003 Greenbrier, pointed out that the <br />Greenbrier properties have a drainage ditch in their <br />front yards. <br />Blesener replied that this would be taken into account <br />when looking at the issue of benefit. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:50 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 10:00 P.M. <br />oUTDOOR Mr. Joseph Vitale, Venetian Inn, appeared before the <br />BOXING MATCH Council requesting authorization for the Venetian Inn <br />VENETIAN INN to hold an outdoor boxing match in their parking lot on <br />July 9, 1991. Vitale reported that the Venetian Inn <br />has done this on other occasions. The Venetian would <br />abide by previous City requirements, such as screening <br />and off-site parking. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-6-196 - APPROVING TAE REQUEST OF TAE <br />VENETIAN INN TO CONDUCT AN OUTDOOR BOXING MATCH ON JULY <br />9, 1991, AS WELL AS AN ALTERNATE DATE OF JULY 10 IF <br />NECESSARY DUE TO WEATHER, SUBJECT TO TAE SAME TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS IMPOSED BY THE CITY IN THE PAST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SAVAGE LANE A representative of Wagner Homes appeared before the <br />FILL PERMIT Council requesting a fill permit in order to build a <br />house on the lot at the end of Savage Lane. The <br />Council was informed that the applicant is working with <br />the DNR and will comply with whatever conditions they <br />impose. <br />Scalze reviewed the letter received from Mr. Helgeson, <br />a property owner in the area, expressing concern about <br />the soil conditions under the new road and the effect <br />of truck traffic on the road. <br />Page 17 <br />
