MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 10, 1991 <br />BY ST. JOHN'S CHURCH FOR THEIR FALL FESTIVAL ON <br />SEPTEMBER 29, 1991 AND FOR BINGO ON OCTOBER 27TH AND <br />NOVEMBER 24TH, 1991 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CANADIAN The City Administrator stated that assuming the Council <br />DAYS wants to proceed with fireworks at this year's Canadian <br />FIREWORKS Days Celebration, staff should be authorized to make <br />the necessary arrangements with contractors and the <br />City~s insurance carrier to remove the fireworks <br />exclusion from the City's general liability insurance <br />coverage. <br />Blesener asked if the Fire Chief has been asked his <br />opinion on the matter. <br />The Administrator was not aware that the Fire Chief's <br />opinion had changed from that of last year's. <br />Hanson reported that staff has sent a letter to the <br />Fire Chief asking for his input on the matter. <br />Blesener believed that there was a slight accident <br />during the fireworks last year, and stated that he had <br />some reservations. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-7-226 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />MAKE THE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS FOR A FIREWORKS DISPLAY <br />AT THE 1991 CANADIAN DAYS CELEBRATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />1990 AUDIT Hanson noted that prior to tonight's meeting, the <br />REPORT Council had a workshop meeting with the City Auditor to <br />review the 1990 Audit Report. It was the consensus of <br />the Council to adopt the Auditor's recommendations as <br />contained in that report. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page 12 <br />
