MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 10, 1991 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-7-227 - ACCEPTING THE 1990 AUDIT <br />REPORT AS PRESENTED BY VOTO, TAUTGES, REDPATH & CO., <br />LTD. AND ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND APPROVING THE <br />FUND TRANSFERS AS CONTAINED IN THE MANAGEMENT REPORT <br />AND CAPITAL PROJECT FUNDS REPORT EACH DATED DECEMBER <br />31, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />TEMPORARY The Little Canada Recreation Association has applied <br />oN-SALE for a temporary On-Sale Liquor License for August 9 <br />LIQUOR through 10, 1991. Staff noted that the necessary <br />REC. ASSOC. proof of liquor liability insurance is pending. <br />Blesener suggested that the Recreation Association and <br />Canadian Days Committee combine their temporary liquor <br />licenses so that only one liquor liability insurance <br />policy is necessary. It was suggested that the <br />Recreation Association be given approval for two sites <br />during Canadian Days, and that they work out the <br />details with the Canadian Days Committee. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-7-228 - APPROVING A TEMPORARY ON-SALE <br />LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATION <br />ASSOCIATION FOR TWO SITES IN SPOONER PARK FOR AUGUST 9 <br />THROUGA 11, 1991 PENDING RECEIPT OF SATISFACTORY POLICE <br />REPORT AS WELL AS PROOF OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />COVERAGE SUBJECT TO TxE RECREATION ASSOCIATION WORKING <br />OUT THE DETAILS WITH TAE CANADIAN DAYS COMMITTEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SEALCOATING Blesener reviewed the Public Works Superintendent's <br />BIDS letter dated July 10th regarding sealcoating bids. <br />Blesener pointed out that only one bid was received. <br />Other bidders were contacted, and for various reasons <br />did not bid. One company requested an extension in <br />order to get a bid in the following day. Blesener <br />pointed out that the Council's option is to either <br />accept the bid received, or reject it and rebid the <br />work. Public Works is recommending that the bid <br />received be accepted. The cost is lower than last <br />year's, which is due to oil prices as well as the fact <br />Page 13 <br />
