MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 31, 1991
Further discussion followed regarding the implications
of this reduction in liquor liability coverage. The
City Administrator noted that while we are reducing the
total amount of insurance coverage available for a
claim, we are still providing the City, the licensee,
and the citizens with insurance coverage. Also,
defense coverage would be available under this policy
even with reduced limits.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 91-7-257 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
702.030 (5) (A) AND 703.040 (2) (A) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, RELATING TO
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR
LICENSES
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, and LaValle.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
CANADIAN Given the fact that there appears to be no cost
DAYS advantage by having one entity licensed for both
TEMPORARY locations of temporary liquor sales during Canadian
LICENSES Days, and given the lack of preparation in the
management of this concept, it was discussed that
Little Canada Recreation Association and the Canadian
Days Committee should be licensed separately for the
respective sales areas.
Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 91-7-258 - RESCINDING MOTION N0.
91-7-229 MADE AT THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 10, 1991
WHICH GRANTED A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE TO LITTLE
CANADA RECREATION ASSOCIATION FOR TWO SITES FOR THE
PERIOD OF AUGUST 9, 10, 11, 1991
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
Page 2
