MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 28, 1991 General Fund levy be set at $1,119,460. This reflects no increase in overall dollars available, but rather only makes up for loss of aid dollars. The Administrator pointed out that this is the maximum that the City can levy, and the Council has the option of levying less at the 1992 Budget hearing. The Administrator recommended the proposed Debt Service Levy be set at $683,385, which is based on scheduled payments. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 91-8-295 - SETTING THE CITY'S TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARINGS FOR DECEMBER 11, 1991 AT 7:30 P.M., WITH CONTINUATION, IF NECESSARY, FOR DECEMBER 18, 1991 AT 7:30 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Scalze suggested that the next City newsletter include information on the dates and times of the County and School Districts budget hearings, as well as information on percentages of the tax dollar that each of these entities receive. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-8-296 - SETTING THE PROPOSED 1992 GENERAL FUND LEVY AMOUNT AT $1,119,460 AND THE PROPOSED 1992 DEBT SERVICE LEVY AT $683,385 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. COUNTY The City Administrator recommended approval of the COOPERATION Joint Cooperation Agreement with the County which AGREEMENT ensures the County's entitlement for Community Block Grant Funds. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-8-297 - APPROVING THE JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING TI-IE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY Page 11
