MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 28, 1991 <br />operation and procedures for enforcement of their <br />charitable gambling ordinances. Staff should then <br />inform the Council of the dates and times. <br />COUNCIL The City Administrator reported that three quotes have <br />DISPLAY been received for Council display table and podium. <br />TABLE & The low quote was from T. C. Woodwork in the amount of <br />PODIUM $1,971. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-8-300 - AWARDING THE QUOTATION OF T. <br />C. WOODWORK IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,971 FOR COUNCIL DISPLAY <br />TABLE AND PODIUM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CHARITABLE LaValle expressed concern about rumors that he has <br />GAMBLING heard about the job security of the gambling manager of <br />one of the charities at the bingo hall. <br />Scalze reported that there was a good presentation on <br />Channel 11 News about the good that charitable gambling <br />can do, and Council requested that the City obtain a <br />copy of that tape. <br />PIONEER PARK The City Administrator reviewed a letter from the <br />IRRIGATION park consultant's office regarding repairs that were <br />SYSTEM made in Pioneer Park's irrigation system. The <br />Administrator pointed out that the authority was given <br />to make the repairs by the park consultant without the <br />knowledge of City staff and before issues of <br />responsibility for damage could be discussed with the <br />various contractors workinq in the area. Also repairs <br />were made prior to the insurance company becoming <br />involved. The Administrator agreed that Fair's Garden <br />Center, the contractor making the repairs, was entitled <br />to payment for his work, however, before the repairs <br />were made these other issues should have been <br />addressed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-8-301 - AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO FAIR'S <br />GARDEN CENTER FOR REPAIR WORK DONE TO IRRIGATION SYSTEM <br />Page 13 <br />
