MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 9, 1991 <br />FLOOD PLAIN The City Attorney presented to the Council a resolution <br />oRDINANCE providing for the publication of a summary of Ordinance <br />No. 349 which amends the City's Flood Plain Ordinance <br />to include the requirements of the DNR. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-338 - PROVIDING FOR THE <br />PUBLICATION OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 916 OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE RELATING TO FLOODPLAIN DISTRICT WITH TAE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ASSESSMENT The City Administrator requested that the Council <br />AEARINGS declare the costs to be assessed and order preparation <br />of assessment roll for the Thunder Bay drainage <br />improvement, County Road B shoulder improvement and the <br />DeSoto Street improvement. The City Administrator <br />reviewed the costs of these various improvements with <br />the Council. The cost to be assessed for Thunder Bay <br />drainage is $54,856.13 at a rate of 6.75% interest for <br />five years; the cost to be assessed for County Road B <br />shoulder paving is $2,800.00 at a rate of 6.75% <br />interest for three years, and the cost to be assessed <br />for DeSoto Street is $331,098.58 at a rate of 7.25% for <br />ten years. <br />The Administrator then recommended that a special <br />meeting be called for Tuesday, October 29th, beginning <br />at 7:00 P.M. for the assessment hearings for these <br />improvements. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-339 - DECLARING COST TO BE <br />ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED <br />ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 89-14, THUNDER BAY <br />DRAINAGE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 5 <br />
