MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 9, 1991 FLOOD PLAIN The City Attorney presented to the Council a resolution oRDINANCE providing for the publication of a summary of Ordinance No. 349 which amends the City's Flood Plain Ordinance to include the requirements of the DNR. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-338 - PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 916 OF THE LITTLE CANADA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FLOODPLAIN DISTRICT WITH TAE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ASSESSMENT The City Administrator requested that the Council AEARINGS declare the costs to be assessed and order preparation of assessment roll for the Thunder Bay drainage improvement, County Road B shoulder improvement and the DeSoto Street improvement. The City Administrator reviewed the costs of these various improvements with the Council. The cost to be assessed for Thunder Bay drainage is $54,856.13 at a rate of 6.75% interest for five years; the cost to be assessed for County Road B shoulder paving is $2,800.00 at a rate of 6.75% interest for three years, and the cost to be assessed for DeSoto Street is $331,098.58 at a rate of 7.25% for ten years. The Administrator then recommended that a special meeting be called for Tuesday, October 29th, beginning at 7:00 P.M. for the assessment hearings for these improvements. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-339 - DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 89-14, THUNDER BAY DRAINAGE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
