MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 9, 1991 Mr. LaValle introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-340 - DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 91-8, COUNTY ROAD B SHOULDER PAVING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Collova. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-341 - DECLARING THE COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 90-21, DESOTO STREET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 91-10-342 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1991 ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 91-8 AT 7:00 P.M., ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 90-21 AT 7:20 P.M., AND ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 89-14 FOR 8:00 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator reported that assessment rolls will be prepared, and notices for the hearings will be going out next week. The Administrator reported that in some instances the improvement hearings were held on larger project areas than what will be assessed. CHARITABLE Scalze reported that on October 2nd, the Council held GAMBLING a workshop meeting to discuss provisions to be included in a charitable gambling ordinance to be adopted by the Council. Scalze suggested that the Council review the minutes of that workshop, and then instruct the City Attorney to begin drafting the ordinance based on the discussion at that workshop. Page 6
