MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 23, 1991 1992 BUDGET The City Administrator recommended that the 1992 Budqet WORKSHOP workshop be scheduled for either the first or second week in November. The Administrator reported that his preference would be Tuesday, November 12th, at 7 P.M. It was the consensus of the Council to schedule the workshop at the discretion of the City Administrator. PARK & Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and PLANNING moved its adoption: COMMISSION VACANCIES RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-357 - AUTHORIZING TAE ADVERTISEMENT OF VACANCIES ON TfiE PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSIONS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. REDEMPTION The City Administrator reported that the Council OF G.O. recently held a workshop meeting at which debt service IMP. BONDS restructuring was discussed. At that meeting, the City's Fiscal Advisor recommended the redemption of some of the City's bond issues that are currently at higher rates. By paying off these issues early, a substantial cost savings will be realized by the taxpayer. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-358 - CALLING FOR REDEMPTION OF CERTAIN OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1983 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Aanson, Blesener. Nays (o). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-10-359 - CALLING FOR REDEMPTION OF CERTAIN OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATION ADVANCE REFUNDING BONDS OF 1985 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PAGE 11
