MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 27, 1991 LaValle asked if this amendment precludes various businesses within the City from having merchandise on display in front of their establishment. The City Planner replied that permanent outdoor displays have always been handled through the conditional use permit process. This amendment would address unique items through an administrative permit. The Planner reported that the issue arose since there have been property owners conducting sales of Christmas trees, etc. on their property. This process would allow for temporary outdoor sales and displays without putting too much of an administrative burden on anyone. The Council discussed the fee for such a permit, and it was the consensus that a fee of $25 should be established. The Council also discussed whether or not this would apply to established businesses in the City or would include temporary street corner vendors. The City Attorney reported that his interpretation was that the permit would apply to legitimate, established businesses within the City. Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: ORDINANCE NO. 352 - AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TEMPORARY OUTDOOR SALES/DISPLAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Collova. Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ASSESSMENT The Council reviewed the County's request for REAPPORTION- reapportionment of assessments for the William Stafki MENT property at 316 Little Canada Road. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-11-404 - APPROVING THE REAPPORTIONMENT OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE WILLIAM STAFKI PROPERTY AT 316 LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS REQUESTED BY RAMSEY COUNTY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Page 10
