MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 11, 1991 the matter can be considered by the Council at its first meeting in January. Blesener stated that it was his feeling that the percentage of profits should go to the City rather than LCRA since there are expenses to the City for maintaining this building. Blesener stated that he understood that the LCRA donated the buildinq, however, that donation created the maintenance expenses for the City. Scalze suggested that the Council think about this issue further. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-12-422 - REFERRING THE REQUEST OF JIM OLSEN FOR OPERATION OF THE PIONEER PARK CONCESSION STAND TO THE PARK COMMISSION FOR THEIR RECOMMENDATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson. Ayes (5) Blesener, Hanson, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. GAMBLING Mr. Ray Ramero, representing Marriage Encounter, Inc., LICENSE appeared before the Council requesting approval of an MARRIAGE Exemption from Lawful Gambling License so that this ENCOUNTER organization can hold a gold plate dinner at the Venetian Inn on Sunday, February 16, 1992. Ramero also asked for a waiver of the City's review period. Ramero explained the purpose of his organization, and the need to raise funds to cover costs for those couples who participate but cannot afford to pay. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 91-12-423 - APPROVING THE EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE FOR MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER, INC. FOR GOLD PLATE DINNER TO BE HELD AT THE VENETIAN INN ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 1991 SUBJECT TO TAERE BEING NO SALE OF PULL-TABS BY THIS ORGANIZATION, AND WAIVING THE CITY'S 60-DAY REVIEW PERIOD The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
