MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 8, 1992 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />JESPERSEN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />LEAVE OF moved its adoption: <br />ABSENCE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-1-24 - APPROVING A LEAVE OF ABSENCE <br />FROM JANUARY 14 THROUGH MARCH 26, 1992 FOR BEVERLY <br />JESPERSEN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CHANGE-ORDER The City Administrator submitted for approval a change- <br />THUNDER BAY order for the Thunder Bay drainage improvement contract <br />DRAINAGE which calls for extension of the completion date. The <br />City Engineer has recommended approval of this <br />change-order. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-1-25 - APPROVING THE CHANGE ORDER FOR <br />EXTENSION OF COMPLETION DATE FOR THE THUNDER BAY <br />DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br />CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER PARK The City Administrator reported that Buck Blacktop is <br />IRRIGATION requesting final payment for site improvements in <br />SYSTEM Pioneer Park. The Administrator reported that it was <br />his initial recommendation that $2,700 be withheld from <br />final payment due to damage to the City's irrigation <br />system. However, this situation has been reviewed, and <br />the Administrator reported that it was his <br />recommendation that Buck Blacktop is not responsible <br />for the damage to that system. The reason is that the <br />City did not provide accurate sprinkler system <br />locations. The Administrator reported that Buck <br />Blacktop took reasonable precautions as far as the <br />sprinkler system is concerned, however, the City was <br />not able to tell them the location of that system.
