Sanders pointed out that he is
requesting a$750,000 grant for the project and has
shown total project costs funded through a$750,000
LCMR grant, $580,200 in Watershed funding, and $233,950
from the City's park development fund. Sanders pointed
out that the City is not obligated to provide that
amount of funding, however, the City's application will
be given additional points if it shows money leveraged
towards the project.
Hanson reported that he has had inquiries from
neighbors asking about the effect of the Watershed's
project on their wells, for instance.
Sanders reported that the Park Commission will be
holding neighborhood meetings to explain the project
probably in March. Sanders reported that
as the City completes the Gervais Mill project, the
City will need watermain extended to the site.
Scalze suggested that the City could have a well
installed, if necessary, pointing out that people in
the area have indicated opposition to installation of
watermain.
Sanders reported that the grant applic
February 7th.
