MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12, 1992 <br />Sanders reported that citizens are always welcome to <br />attend Park Commission meetings which are the third <br />Thursday of each month. <br />The Administrator reported that the next step would be <br />for the Council to schedule a public hearing to <br />consider the amendment of the City's Comprehensive Plan <br />to incorporate the Park Master Plan. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-55 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING, TO <br />BE SCHEDULED BY CITY STAFF IN COMPLIANCE WITH STATUTORY <br />GUIDELINES, TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE CITY'S <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO INCLUDE THE PROPOSED PARK MASTER <br />PLAN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />GAMBLING LaValle recommended that Sections 815.010, 815.020 and <br />ORDINANCE 815.025 of the City's Charitable Gambling Ordinance be <br />amended with regard to felony and gross misdemeanor <br />convictions that do not relate to gambling crimes, <br />crimes involving the misuse or misappropriation of <br />public or private funds, theft or drugs. LaValle noted <br />that a requirement of the ordinance is that no member, <br />employee or consultant of a charitable gambling <br />organization have a felony or gross misdemeanor <br />conviction. This would include convictions for <br />domestic crimes or second DWI convictions, for example. <br />LaValle stated that he did not believe it was the <br />City's intention to be that restrictive in its <br />ordinance. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-2-56 - INSTRUCTING TAE CITY ATTORNEY <br />TO PREPARE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S CHARITABLE <br />GAMBLING ORDINANCE AS OUTLINED BY COUNCIL MEMBER <br />LAVALLE WITH REGARD TO FELONY AND GROSS MISDEMEANOR <br />CONVICTIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 14 <br />
