MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 8, 1992
Vanderbie Street drained south to LaBore Road. The
Administrator pointed out that there is currently no
outlet for that drainage.
Scalze pointed out that the neighbors in the area
indicated at the Park Commission meeting that storm
sewer projects should be tied in with the Watershed's
pond project in Gervais Mill Park. Scalze suggested
that the City Engineer note the discussion that was
held at the March Park Commission meeting on this
subject.
The City Administrator stated now was the time to tie
any storm sewer project in with the Watershed's project
in Gervais Mill Park before the Watershed completes its
planning process for the pond improvements.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-120 - ORDERING PREPARATION OF A
FEASIBILITY REPORT ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF LABORE ROAD
FROM EDGERTON STREET TO DESOTO STREET BY STORM SEWER,
CURB AND GUTTER, AND ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova, LaValle.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator noted that the City has talked
about the future reconstruction of Vanderbie Street.
The Administrator did not believe it feasible to tie in
a Vanderbie project with the LaBore Road project, since
LaBore Road would have to be constructed to heavier
standards. This could raise the cost of an improvement
on Vanderbie.
EDGERTON Blesener noted the petition received at the last
IMPROVEMENT meeting for watermain improvement from Little Canada
Road to LaBOre Road.
The City Administrator reported that with the addition
of one more signature, that petition meets the
necessary requirements. The Administrator commented
that a watermain project on Edgerton Street in this
area will be very difficult since the desire would be
to keep the improvement out of the street area and due
to the gullies along the street. The City Engineer
will be looking at various alternatives for this
project.
Page 8
