MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 8~ 1992 <br />RYAN DRIVE The City Administrator reported that City staff has <br />PUBLIC met with the committee of property owners representing <br />HEARING Ryan Industrial Park and have another meeting scheduled <br />for this month. That committee has requested that the <br />public hearing on the street improvement be postponed <br />until May 13th. <br />The Administrator also reported that some of the <br />property owners within Ryan Industrial Park have asked <br />that the City become more aggressive in requiring that <br />the area be cleaned up. The City Planner is doing an <br />analysis of this matter during his staff hours. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-4-121 - CONTINUING THE RYAN <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK PUBLIC HEARING UNTIL MAY 13, 1992 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, Hanson, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STREET The Public Works 5uperintendent reported that he has <br />SWEEPING received two quotes for street sweeping. The low quote <br />was from McPhillips 5weeping at $55 per hour. <br />McPhillips has done the City's street sweeping for the <br />past couple of years and have done a good job. The <br />Superintendent estimated it would take a total of 80 <br />hours to sweep all the City's streets. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-4-122 - APPROVING THE LOW QUOTE OF <br />$55 PER HOUR RECEIVED FROM MCPHILLIPS SWEEPING FOR 1992 <br />STREET SWEEPING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MAPLEWOOD The Public Works Superintendent reported that the City <br />WATERMAIN of Maplewood has requested approval to connect to the <br />AGREEMENT City's 12-inch watermain near Roselawn Avenue. The <br />Superintendent reported that this 12-inch line is a <br />back-up main since the City also has a 24-inch line in <br />the same area. The City would retain the right to use <br />the 12-inch line, if necessary. If this proposal is <br />approved, the City of Maplewood would assume all <br />maintenance responsibility for the 12-inch line. <br />Page 9 <br />
