MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 22, 1992 RESOLUTION N0. 92-4-143 - ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PARK COMMISSION FOR THE CONTINUED USE OF THE PROPERTY AT RUTH AND DEMONT STREETS FOR PARK PURPOSE5 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. SUPER SUMMER Scalze reported that the Super Summer Committee has continued to meet, and reported that a new Camp Director has been hired. The new Director is Gina Frattalone. Gina is a local person, has a degree in elementary education, and ran a similar program in North St. Paul. Scalze also reported that the theme for this summer's camp is community appreciation, nature and history. SCHLETTY Scalze reported that in July of 1989, the Council took WOODS action to acquire four tax-forfeited properties in Schletty Woods for drainage and ponding purposes. However, it has come to the City's attention that the appropriate documents have not been filed with the County. Scalze recommended that these documents be processed accordingly. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-144 - AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE APPLICATIONS BY GOVERNMENTAL SUBDIVISION FOR CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LANDS FOR THE FOLLOWING SCHLETTY WOODS PARCELS FOR PONDING AND DRAINAGE PURPOSES: PARCEL N0. OS-29-22-31-0038 PARCEL N0. 08-29-22-31-0039 PARCEL N0. 08-29-22-31-0040 PARCEL NO. 08-29-22-31-0041 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. CABLE TV Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-145 - URGING THE MINNESOTA CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO CO-SPONSOR AND SUPPORT CABLE LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD PROVIDE CONSUMER PROTECTION FOR CABLE TELEVISION SUBSCRIBERS, PRESERVE Page 20
