MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 22, 1992
The City Planner reported that the Code was amended to
allow a five foot sideyard setback for existing homes
built prior to 1980, therefore, the five foot setback
as proposed meets Code requirements.
Truscott reported that the setback is actually closer
to 8 feet.
Blesener pointed out the L-shaped nature of the
proposed property division. Blesener asked how much
distance was between the back of the Truscott property
and Savage Lane.
Truscott estimated there was 100 to 130 feet between
his property and 5avage Lane. Truscott reported that
in addition to wanting a large lot, he would like to
keep his options open so if he could purchase some land
from the adjacent property owner, he might be able to
further divide the property to have a lot fronting on
Savage Lane.
Blesener pointed out the Planner's recommendation for
relocation of the existing garage. Blesener asked if
there was enough room to move the garage and still meet
Code requirements.
Truscott reported that the a permit has already been
issued to a moving company for relocation of the
garage. The mover is waiting until weight restrictions
are lifted before making the move. Truscott also
reported that he has submitted the original blueprints
of the existing house which show that it was
constructed in 1949.
Scalze asked about drainage easements along lot lines.
The City Administrator reported that easements will be
required as are typically done as part of the lot split
process.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-4-134 - APPROVING THE PROPERTY
DIVISION FOR 353 ROSE LANE AS REQUESTED BY MR. RONALD
TRUSCOTT SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE CITY PLANNER AND THE CITY ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Collova, Scalze.
Nays (0).
