MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1992 <br />of years ago, and that the property owner has not <br />increased that price to cover the property taxes which <br />he has paid on the property over that period of time. <br />The City Administrator agreed that the property owner <br />has been very cooperative and has not raised the price <br />of the property. The issue that needs to be resolved <br />at this time, is the property appraisals. <br />Scalze asked if the City got involved in review of the <br />appraisals. <br />The City Administrator replied that the City will want <br />to get involved, and suggested the use of an appraiser <br />that has been used by the City in the past so that the <br />City is oomfortable that there has been an objective <br />appraisal. <br />GERVAIS Hanson reported that he received a letter from a <br />BEACH resident of Sunrise Drive concerned about parking and <br />PARKING Gervais Beach. Hanson suggested that he discuss with <br />Public Works the possibility of additional no parking <br />in this area. <br />HAZARDOUS LaValle asked the status of the hazardous structures <br />BUILDINGS on Rice Street. <br />The City Administrator reported that the notice period <br />is running for the Klein house. The City received a <br />call from an attorney representing Mrs. Klein asking <br />about quotations for removal of this house. The <br />Administrator reported that he informed the attorney <br />that he will share this information with him when it is <br />available. The attorney also asked for another copy of <br />the voluntary agreement which he would submit to Mrs. <br />Klein for her signature. The Administrator reported <br />that the process will continue to run on this property <br />unless the City receives a signed agreement. <br />The City Administrator reported that all the notices <br />have been served for the other hazardous building on <br />Rice Street, and that notice period has now begun. <br />COUNTRY Blesener reported that per the request of the Ryan <br />DRIVE Industrial Park property owners, the State has <br />SPEED reviewed the speed limit on Country Drive from Little <br />LIMIT Canada Road to Rice Street, and has recommended that <br />the speed limit be increased from 30 miles per hour to <br />35 with proper signing of curves. <br />Council discussed the process wherein the State looks <br />Page 18 <br />
