MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 1992 <br />CLOSED The City Administrator recommended that the Council go <br />SESSION into closed session following this evening's meeting to <br />discuss Kraus/Anderson final payment. Kraus/Anderson <br />has indicated that this matter could result in <br />litigation. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-5-157 - CALLING FOR A CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING THE COUNCIL MEETING TO DSSCUSS KRAUS/ANDERSON <br />FINAL PAYMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />34 LITTLE Collova reviewed the Building Inspector'S letter dated <br />CANADA ROAD May 6, 1992 recommending that the Council take action <br />to have the structure at 34 East Little Canada Road <br />razed. <br />Mr. Jim McBride, McBride Construction Company <br />representing Jim Marshall and Gloria Favis, appeared <br />before the Council. McBride reported that he received <br />a letter dated April 28th from the Building Inspector <br />which states that the property owners have made no <br />effort within the last six months to improve the <br />property at 34 Little Canada Road. The letter also <br />states that the structure is in a dilapidated state. <br />McBride reported that exactly six months and one day <br />ago he approached the Building Inspector with a bid of <br />$4,400 to remodel the structure. The Building <br />Inspector turned down his request for a building <br />permit. McBride reported that yesterday he and Mr. <br />Marshall met with the Building Inspector, and again was <br />turned down for a building permit. McBride reported <br />that he discussed the matter with the City <br />Administrator, who indicated that he and the Building <br />Inspector would meet with him. McBride reported that <br />when he was meeting with the Building Inspector, he <br />requested the City Administrator attend the meeting, <br />but he would not present himself. <br />McBride reported that he filled out a building permit <br />application, which is dated November 13, 1991, and on <br />that application indicated the improvements he plans to <br />make to the structure to bring it up to proper <br />standards. <br />Page 9 <br />
