MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 1992 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Engineer reported that he has obtained <br />competitive quotes from three contractors for soil <br />borings in the LaBore Road area as well as Vanderbie <br />area. The Engineer stated that prior to the public <br />hearing he would like to know the soil conditions that <br />exist along LaBore Road to determine if his cost <br />estimates are accurate. The Engineer felt that a <br />better price could be obtained by including the <br />Vanderbie Road area at the same time. The Engineer <br />recommended that the quote of Braun Engineering be <br />accepted. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-5-178 - APPROVING THE QUOTATION OF <br />BRAUN ENGINEERING IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000 FOR SOIL <br />BORING WORK IN THE LABORE ROAD AND VANDERBIE ROAD AREAS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Aanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AUTO SALES The City Planner reported that City staff has done an <br />inventory of retail auto sales businesses operating in <br />Ryan Industrial Park. With the license approved this <br />evening for Lenardo Body Shop, there are three such <br />businesses operating in the Park. The Planner also <br />pointed out that a retail sales license was just <br />approved for Suburban Auto, which is located along <br />Country Drive. <br />Hanson pointed out that there is Dave's Auto on Condit <br />as well. <br />Blesener suggested that the City Planner put together a <br />list of all the auto sales businesses operating in the <br />City, as well as the property zoning. <br />The City Planner replied that he would have this <br />information available for the second Council meeting in <br />June. <br />COUNTRY DR.- Mr. Mark Malsam, Country Drive resident, asked about <br />MARK MALSAM the status of development on Country Drive. Malsam <br />reported that the Kandice Heights developments are a <br />mess and there are dissatisfied tenants in the <br />buildings. <br />Page 12 <br />
