MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 10, 1992 <br />ON-SALE WINE <br />& NON- <br />INTOXICATING <br />MALT LIQUOR <br />LICENSE <br />JEFF BRIGGS <br />Jeff Briggs, owner and president of Totally Bonkers <br />Comedy Club, appeared before the Council requesting <br />approval of an On-Sale Wine License and a Non- <br />Intoxicating Malt Liquor License. Briggs reported that <br />it is his intention to open a comedy club improv stage <br />with seating for about 100 in the Round Lake Plaza <br />shopping center. Briggs reported that he has been in <br />business for three years and has three other <br />locations. Briggs reported that he would also like to <br />hold benefits from time-to-time as well as film a Cable <br />TV show from the location. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-6-190 - APPROVING AN ON-SALE WINE <br />LICENSE AND NON-INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR LICENSE FOR <br />JEFFREY BRIGGS, TOTALLY BONDERS COMEDY CLUB, ROUND LAKE <br />PLAZA, SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF APPROPRIATE CERTIFICATE <br />OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE, AND SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH ALL STATE AND CITY CODES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY HALL The City Administrator reported that three quotations <br />LIGHT POLES have been obtained for installation of light poles at <br />the City Center. The low quotation was received from <br />SKS Electric in the amount of $1,017. Dick Kimmes, the <br />owner of SKS Electric, is a local resident. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-6-191 - APPROVING THE QUOTATION OF <br />SKS ELECTRIC FOR INSTALLATION OF LIGHT POLES AT THE <br />CITY CENTER IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,017 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Collova, Hanson, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY HALL The City Administrator reviewed his letter dated June <br />LANDSCAPING 5, 1992 regarding landscaping at City Hall. The <br />Administrator reported that since that letter, the City <br />Attorney's office has pointed out to him that the <br />Statutory change regarding competitive bid amounts does <br />not take place until August 1st. The League memo <br />reporting an April 1st effective date was in error. <br />Page 4 <br />
