MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 24, 1992 <br />There were neighbors present in support of Mr. Benson's <br />request. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Scalze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-6-207 - APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO ALLOW TOTAL GARAGE SPACE IN EXCESS OF 1,000 <br />SQUARE FEET AS REQUESTED BY JAMES BENSON FOR HIS <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2533 EDGERTON STREET SUBJECT TO THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS <br />REPORT DATED JUNE 4, 1992 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WATER The City Attorney submitted for Council review a <br />ORDINANCE proposed ordinance which would allow City maintenance <br />of hydrants located on private property. <br />The City Administrator reported on the need for this <br />maintenance from a public safety standpoint to ensure <br />that these hydrants are operational. The Administrator <br />reported that he and the Public Works 5uperintendent <br />have reviewed the proposed ordinance and find it to be <br />acceptable. <br />Mr. Scalze introduced the following ordinance and moved <br />its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 360 - AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION <br />1601.421 TO TAE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, RELATING TO THE MAINTENANCE OF FIRE HYDRANTS <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Ordinance declared adopted. <br />GAMBLING The City Attorney presented a proposed ordinance <br />DEVICES prohibiting gambling devices as a condition of both <br />non-intoxicating and intoxicating liquor licenses. The <br />Attorney reported that a similar ordinance was adopted <br />by the City Council on June 22, 1988, however, when the <br />liquor code was recently redone, this ordinance was not <br />included. When this omission was discovered, the <br />proposed ordinance was prepared for Council <br />consideration. The City Attorney reviewed the <br />ordinance proposal in detail. <br />Page 4 <br />
