The Planner reported that
the property was never final platted.
Collova asked if the cash deposit was for future
extension of the road into the Yorkton Industrial Park.
The Planner replied that this was correct.
Scalze asked about the issue of access to the property
over the Fasciana property.
The City Planner reported that the developer is working
with Mr. Fasciana on this issue. Access was also a
condition of previous preliminary plat approval.
The City Administrator reported that the Park
Commission previously reviewed this development
proposal and determined that their only interest was in
obtaining access to the Water Works property. The
Administrator pointed out that Rue Plastics, an
adjacent property owner, is interested in the piece on
the northeast corner of the plat for additional parking
and green area.
Kevin Von Reidel, Heritage Development, reported that
they purchased the property from Liberty State Bank.
Von Reidel reported that he has been in contact with
Mr. Fasciana on the issue of access. If the Council approves the
concept, Heritage would like to proceed with
simultaneous preliminary and final plat approval. Von
Reidel reported that it was his intention to set up a
meeting to discuss the project with the neighbors.
Scalze suggested that the Park Commission minutes be
reviewed for this development.
Hanson asked if there was any plan to change the plat
from what was proposed previously.
Von Reidel replied that there will be no change in the
plat.
Collova recommended that Von Reidel conduct a
neighborhood meeting, pointing out that the neighbors
are very interested in this project.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-6-208 - APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF THE
YORKTON RIDGE WEST PLAT AS PREVIOUSLY PRESENTED
Page 6
