MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 22, 1992 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-7-247 - BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION <br />OF THE PARK COMMIS5ION, INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO WORK WITH THE PROPERTY OWNERS TO <br />PROVIDE THE MOST ECONOMICAL ASSISTANCE POSSIBLE FOR <br />LANDSCAPING OF THE REAR LOT LINE OF THE OTTO PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 3040 THUNDER BAY ROAD NOTING TAAT APPROVAL <br />OF THIS LANDSCAPING REQUEST IS BASED ON THE FACTS <br />LISTED IN TAE PARK AND RECREATION DIRECTOR'S MEMO DATED <br />JULY 22, 1992 AND THAT THE TRAIL IS DIRECTLY ADJACENT <br />TO THE REAR PROPERTY LINE OF THE OTTO PROPERTY, AND IT <br />IS FELT TKAT LANDSCAPING WILL DIRECT TRAFFIC TO THE <br />TRAIL CONNECTION TO TxE CUL-DE-SAC RATHER THAN THROUGH <br />PRIVATE PROPERTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). REsolution declared adopted. <br />CABLE TV The City Administrator reviewed the documents before <br />TRANSFER the Council which were submitted by the Cable <br />Commission's legal counsel providing for the transfer <br />of ownership of the North Central Cable Communications <br />Corporation to Meredith/New Heritage Partnership. <br />Hanson noted that the Commission's legal counsel has <br />has reviewed the documents and finds no reasonable <br />basis for denying the transfer. Hanson further <br />reported that the other members cities have approved <br />the transfer. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-7-248 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF <br />OWNERSHIP OF NORTH CENTRAL CABLE COMMUNICATIONS <br />CORPORATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Blesener. <br />Nays (Oj. Resolution declared adopted. <br />VACATION OF Scalze pointed out that the Planning Commission <br />PORTION OF supports the vacation of the portion of Sylvan Street <br />SYLVAN STREET right-of-way lying between the end of the cul-de-sac <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY and Demont Street. The Park Commission also reviewed <br />this issue and felt that due to the potential for <br />additional recreational development of the school <br />property in the area, a trail easement should be <br />retained over the road right-of-way area. The Park <br />Commission is also recommending that the full width of <br />the right-of-way be retained for the trail easement <br />Page 22 <br />
