This is a
very aggressive scriedule, but the City will work with
them to try to achieve that schedule.
Hanson reported that a square dance group called the
Spin Chain Gang would like to adopt a road or do some
other community project in an effort to both gain some
publicity and promote civic pride.
Scalze suggested that the group could get involved in
the City's tree planting efforts.
Blesener noted that effective August 1st, haulers can
no longer pick up brush. Blesener suggested that
before the Community Pride Committee established a
brush program, staff determine how the County is
addressing the situation, and perhaps the City can join
in their efforts.
Scalze reported that the Community Pride Committee has
been addressing the issue of code enforcement. As a
result, the Building Inspector, City Planner and City
Administrator have put together a plan for addressing
code enforcement issues in Ryan Industrial Park.
Scalze further reported that the Community Pride
Committee has invited anyone who is interested to join
them.
Scalze reported that the Little Canada/Vadnais Heights
Chapter of the Suburban Chamber of Commerce will hold
its quarterly meeting on 5eptember 15. The public is
invited to attend.
