MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 26, 1992 <br />Scalze pointed out that the grant is based on energy <br />conservation and reforestation. <br />The City Administrator reported that the committee is <br />recommending that of the $6,163.75 in City funds, <br />$2,400 come from the 10o Capital Improvement Fund and <br />the remaining from the Park Development Fund. It was <br />noted that while the Park Commission has not reviewed <br />the numbers, it does support the grant application. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-8-296 - AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION <br />FOR MN RELEAF GRANT PROGRAM WITH THE DESIGNATION OF <br />$6,163.75 IN CITY FUNDING, $2,400 OF WHICH TO COME FROM <br />THE 10% CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, AND THE REMAINING <br />$3,763.75 TO COME FROM THE PARK DEVELOPMENT FUND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the write-down <br />in the cost of plant materials to property owners will <br />be determined by the number of applications. These <br />details will be finalized if the City receives grant <br />approval. <br />TRANSFER OF Aanson reported that the Sheriff's Department has <br />SQUAD CAR requested approval to transfer a 1989 squad car to the <br />water patrol. This car was purchased by the <br />contracting cities, and so far Vadnais Heights and <br />North Oaks have approved the transfer. <br />The City Administrator reported that the estimated cost <br />to the contracting cities of the transfer of this <br />vehicle is $1,400, which equates to $140 for our City. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the squad to be <br />transferred is one that is used by Sheriff's Department <br />reserve units. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-8-297 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF <br />RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT SQUAD CAR TO THE <br />COUNTY WATER PATROL <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
