MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 9, 1992 RESOLUTION N0. 92-9-307 - VACATING A PORTION OF THE ORIGINAL SUNRISE DRIVE CUL-DE-SAC The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PETITION The City Administrator reported that the City has FOR received a petition for the improvement of Costa Lane IMPROVEMENT from DeSoto to DeSoto by watermain, sanitary sewer, OF COSTA storm sewer, curb and gutter, and bituminous street. LANE The petition is adequate. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 92-9-308 - ACCEPTING THE PETITION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF COSTA LANE FROM DESOTO TO DESOTO AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 92-9-309 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO DO AN AMENDED FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF COSTA LANE FROM DESOTO TO DESOTO AND INCLUDE THAT STUDY IN THE OVERALL PROJECT SCOPE CURRENTLY BEING STUDIED FOR THE AREA The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PLAY 21 The City Attorney presented the Council with a proposed ordinance amendment which would allow blackjack tables in liquor establishments within the City provided that there is no gambling involved, that is, no prizes awarded as part of the game. This proposal is the result of a request by Play 21 to place for-fun only blackjack tables within liquor establishments within the City. Mr. Blesener introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: ORDINANCE N0. 364 - AMENDING SECTIONS 702.070(11), 702.120, 703.100(10) AND 703.161 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE Page 7
