MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 14, 1992 <br />The City Administrator replied that the buildings are <br />public and the ADA requirements do not change because <br />of an intensification of the use. <br />Scalze asked if there was any difference if the City <br />began charging for use of a facility. <br />The City Administrator did not believe so. <br />SEXUAL The City Administrator reported that Little Canada has <br />HARASSMENT joined with some other cities in putting on an <br />WORKSHOP awareness training workshop on the issue of sexual <br />harassment. The Administrator reported that it was the <br />City's responsibility as an employer to provide this <br />training. Estimated cost of the workshop was between <br />$15 and $20 per attendee. All permanent employees are <br />required to attend, however, the work schedules of the <br />two recreation assistant directors did not allow for <br />their attendance. <br />The City Administrator also reported that the City's <br />personnel ordinance needs to be revised, and he would <br />like to see this topic addressed in policy form in the <br />ordinance. The Administrator reported that the topic <br />will be discussed at future staff ineetings, therefore, <br />part-time seasonal employees will be included by that <br />means. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-10-361 - APPROVING THE ATTENDANCE OF <br />CITY EMPLOYEES AT A SEXUAL HARASSMENT WORKSHOP AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AT A TOTAL COST <br />OF APPROXIMATELY $300 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Hanson, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VETERAN'S The City Administrator noted <br />DAY scheduled Council meeting in <br />Veteran's Day. Since this is <br />business cannot be conducted <br />recommendation of staff that <br />rescheduled for Wednesday, No <br />combined with the 1993 salary <br />that the first regularly <br />November falls on <br />a legal holiday, public <br />on that day.
