MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 28, 1992
Hanson thanked everyone for their input.
Blesener reported that in listening to Mr. Clasen he
got the impression that it was the decision of the fire
fighters to build the new fire station and purchase
equipment. Blesener disagreed, pointing out that
funding for the new fire station was the responsibility
of the City Council, and he felt the Council addressed
the matter responsibly.
RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:55 P.M, Council took a
short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 10:12 P.M.
TRANSFER Council reviewed the application of Tom and Steve
OF BOTTLE McDonough for transfer of the Bottle Club License from
CLUB LeClaire Hall to the Little Canada Rental Hall. It was
LICENSE noted that Sheriff's background checks, license fee and
proof of liquor liability insurance are pending.
Mr. Tom McDonough appeared before the Council and
reported that he is purchasing the rental hall from Mr.
Koch. It is his intention to run the same type of
business currently run by Mr. Koch. McDonough asked if
the license would allow the sale of non-intoxicating
malt liquor.
The City Attorney noted that a Non-Intoxicating Malt
Liquor License is a separate license from the Bottle
Club License.
McDonough requested approval of a Non-Intoxicating Malt
Liquor License as well as the Bottle Club License.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-10-381 - APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
BOTTLE CLUB LICENSE FROM MR. KOCH, LECLAIRE HALL, TO
MESSRS. TOM AND STEVE MCDONOUGH, LITTLE CANADA RENTAL
HALL AS WELL AS APPROVING AN ON-SALE NON-INTOXICATING
MALT LIQUOR LICENSE FOR LITTLE CANADA RENTAL HALL
SUBJECT TO SUBMISSION OF THE PROPER APPLICATION FORMS,
FEES, PROOF OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE, AND
SATISFACTORY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND CHECKS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Hanson, Scalze.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Page 24
