MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 25, 1992
1992. That date is somewhat flexible since Mrs.
Freeman has agreed to stay on to train her
replacement. The Administrator reported that it is
also proposed that Mrs. Freeman remain into next year
on a limited part-time basis to organize the file
system.
The City Administrator reported that Mrs. Freeman has
served the City for over 20 years in a number of
capacities. She has been a dedicated and loyal
employee to the City, and the Administrator offered the
best of wishes and much appreciation to Mrs. Freeman in
her retirement on behalf of the City.
Mayor Hanson echoed the comments of the City
Administrator, and indicated that it is with regret
that the Council accepts Mrs. Freeman's resignation,
but on the same note wished her many, many happy
retirement years.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 92-11-432 - REGRETFULLY ACCEPTING THE
RESIGNATION OF ANNETTE FREEMAN AS BOOKKEEPER/DEPUTY
CLERK
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Hanson.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
ACCOUNTING The City Administrator submitted to the Council a
CLERK proposed job description and salary scale for an
POSITION accounting clerk position, as well as an advertisement
for that position. The Administrator noted the salary
range of $19,760 to $24,406 included in the
advertisement, pointing out that the ideal candidate
would be offered the higher end of the range. The
Administrator reported that the salary scale is the
same as was adopted two years ago for the accounting
position, and based on review, it is his feeling that
the scale is still appropriate at this time.
The Administrator reported that he hopes to have a new
employee begin February lst in order to allow Mrs.
Freeman approximately 4 to 6 weeks to train that
person.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Page 8
