MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 9, 1992 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-12-450 - APPROVING THE 1993 AUDIT <br />CONTRACT AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ASSESSMENT Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />REAPPORTION- moved its adoption: <br />MENT <br />TWO S RESOLUTION NO. 92-12-451 - APPROVING THE ASSESSMENT <br />PROPERTIES REAPPORTIONMENT FOR PROPERTY DIVISION #DA064057 TWO S <br />PROPERTIES AS REQUESTED BY RAMSEY COUNTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Hanson, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CHARITABLE Glanzer reported that discussion of a non-payment of <br />GAMBLING l0o gambling donation by St. Joseph's Society for <br />Charity had been scheduled for this evening. However, <br />St. Joseph's has now made the required payment. There <br />is one other charity that has a small outstanding <br />balance for the 10% payment. This is being addressed <br />with the charity, and will, hopefully, be resolved <br />shortly. <br />ECONOMIC Hanson reported that the St. Jude's project is moving <br />DEVELOPMENT along nicely. Hanson also indicated that 23 or 24 <br />units in the Presbyterian Homes project have already <br />been committed. <br />PUBLIC Aanson indicated that early next year a representative <br />SAFETY of the Mayor's Commission Against Drugs will address <br />the Council on their activities and goals for that <br />program. <br />WATER RATES Hanson reported that the City of St. Paul has notified <br />the City of a large increase in water rates for 1993. <br />As a result the City is exploring options. <br />Blesener indicated that St. Paul is asking for a 22% <br />increase in rates. Little Canada is being charged one <br />of the highest rates of user cities simply because it <br />does not have enough usage. Blesener felt it was time <br />for the City to again explore its options. <br />The City Administrator reported that some of the <br />Page 18 <br />
