MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 9, 1992
analysis for a well system has been started, but there
are a number of things that must be considered. Those
include treatment, softening, contamination, and
availability of permits for well drilling. There will
be a report to the Council on this matter in the near
future.
PLANNING Collova reported that three Planning Commission terms
COMMISSION expire on December 31, 1992. Those positions are
VACANCIES currently being held by Steve Garske, Art Herkenhoff,
and Bob Pedersen. Bob Pedersen is moving on to the
position of Council Member effective January 1st, and
Mr. Herkenhoff has asked not be be considered for
reappointment. Collova thanked both Herkenhoff and
Pedersen for their dedicated service on the Planning
Commission. Collova felt that the Commission has been
a very good one in the last few years, and has done a
lot of work and research which has benefitted the
Council.
Collova noted that the City has three applicants
interested in appointment to the three vacancies on the
Commission. All vacancies are for three year terms.
Those applicants are Steve Garske, Fred Schletty, and
Dan Knudsen.
It was the consensus of the Council to appoint Steve
Garske, Fred Schletty and Dan Knudsen to three year
terms on the Planning Commission beginning January 1,
1993.
Both Blesener and Hanson agreed with the comments made
by Collova on the hard work that has been done by the
Planning Commission in recent years, and the fact that
the Commission has worked well with the City Council.
PARK Scalze reported that there are three vacancies on the
AND Park and Recreation Commission since the terms of
RECREATION Greg Cylkowski, Bill Bruce and Jack Fitzgerald expire
COMMISSION December 31, 1992. Bruce and Fitzgerald have not
VACANCIES requested reappointment. Scalze thanked these
individuals for their excellent input and a job well
done.
Blesener noted the attendance report for the
Commissioners was included in the Council agenda.
Scalze reported that Greg Cylkowski has requested to be
considered for reappointment. Letters of interest were
also received from Karen Johnson, Larry Hartmann, and
Howard Remerowski.
Page 19
