MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 1992 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-12-462 - ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br />NADEAU ROAD AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT WITH THE <br />UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE WILL BE A 50/50 SPLIT OF CURB <br />AND GUTTER AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION COSTS BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND THE KANDICE HEIGHTS I AND II PROJECTS <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Engineer noted that this project will be <br />combined with other 1993 projects in order to achieve <br />an economy of scale. <br />Scalze suggested that in working on a plan for <br />improving Condit Street, the City Engineer address <br />issues of street width, access, and the varying zoning <br />along Condit Street. <br />1993 The City Administrator reported that the proposed 1993 <br />PLANNING Planner's Contract is consistent with previous <br />CONTRACT contracts. The Administrator recommended approval of <br />the contract, subject to further review of the proposed <br />rates. The Administrator reported that the rate sheet <br />was just received this afternoon, and he may have some <br />questions about the rates to discuss with the City <br />Planner. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the followinq resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-12-463 - APPROVING THE 1993 PLANNING <br />CONTRACT AS SUBMITTED SUBJECT TO THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S FURTHER REVIEW OF 1993 RATES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Hanson, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />KANDICE II The City Administrator recommended that the Kandice <br />FINANCING Heights II financing matter be held over for discussion <br />at the January 13th Council meeting. <br />LOADER The Public Works Superintendent reviewed the bids which <br />BIDS were received for a new loader. Bids were received for <br />the CAT IT18F loader as well as a John Deere 44. Total <br />cost of the CAT is $74,446.48 and for the John Deere <br />444 $72,980.78 after factoring in such items as <br />Page 19 <br />
