MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 15, 1992 <br />The Public Works Superintendent agreed with Mr. <br />Mogren's description of the weather problems that he <br />will be faced with while hauling durinq the winter. <br />The Superintendent indicated that should the spring be <br />wet, the stockpile will probably not be removed by July <br />1st. <br />There was no one else from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Blesener, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-12-456 - DENYING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW THE ACCESSORY USE OF <br />INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY WITHOUT A PRINCIPLE STRUCTURE ON <br />THE SITE AS REQUESTED BY MR. ROBERT MOGREN BASED ON THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY <br />PLANNER AND BASED ON DISCUSSION BY THE COMMUNITY PRIDE <br />COMMITTEE, AND REQUIRING THAT THE STOCKPILE BE REMOVED <br />BY JULY 1, 1993 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PAWN SHOP Hanson opened the Public Hearing to consider renewal <br />LICENSE of the pawn shop license and second hand goods dealer <br />LINCOLN PAWN license for Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry. <br />& JEWELRY <br />Mr. Charles Wedemeyer reported that a few months ago, <br />the Council approved an amendment to the pawn shop <br />license to include himself has half owner of the <br />business. Wedemeyer reported that he has recently <br />bought out the interest of Mr. Richard Bentz in Lincoln <br />Pawn & Jewelry, therefore, now owns 100% of the <br />business. <br />Scalze asked if there has been any concern expressed <br />with this business by the Sheriff's Department. <br />Glanzer reported that Sheriff's reports have been <br />satisfactory. Also, the applicant has submitted the <br />necessary paperwork and has paid the appropriate <br />application fee. <br />Scalze asked if the pawn shop dealt in hand guns. <br />Wedemeyer replied that they only deal in long-barreled <br />guns. <br />Page 7 <br />
