MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 15, 1992 The Public Works Superintendent agreed with Mr. Mogren's description of the weather problems that he will be faced with while hauling durinq the winter. The Superintendent indicated that should the spring be wet, the stockpile will probably not be removed by July 1st. There was no one else from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Blesener, the public hearing was closed. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 92-12-456 - DENYING THE APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW THE ACCESSORY USE OF INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY WITHOUT A PRINCIPLE STRUCTURE ON THE SITE AS REQUESTED BY MR. ROBERT MOGREN BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CITY PLANNER AND BASED ON DISCUSSION BY THE COMMUNITY PRIDE COMMITTEE, AND REQUIRING THAT THE STOCKPILE BE REMOVED BY JULY 1, 1993 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PAWN SHOP Hanson opened the Public Hearing to consider renewal LICENSE of the pawn shop license and second hand goods dealer LINCOLN PAWN license for Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry. & JEWELRY Mr. Charles Wedemeyer reported that a few months ago, the Council approved an amendment to the pawn shop license to include himself has half owner of the business. Wedemeyer reported that he has recently bought out the interest of Mr. Richard Bentz in Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry, therefore, now owns 100% of the business. Scalze asked if there has been any concern expressed with this business by the Sheriff's Department. Glanzer reported that Sheriff's reports have been satisfactory. Also, the applicant has submitted the necessary paperwork and has paid the appropriate application fee. Scalze asked if the pawn shop dealt in hand guns. Wedemeyer replied that they only deal in long-barreled guns. Page 7
