MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 13, 1993 <br />Morelan felt that Council Members will gravitate to <br />their areas of interest without having to be appointed <br />to a Council liaison assignment on a formal basis. <br />Scalze suggested that the Council pass on liaison <br />assignments for six months and see how it works out. <br />Scalze pointed out that times have changed, and the <br />City should change its procedures accordingly. <br />The City Administrator stated that the key is what the <br />Council is comfortable with. The Administrator agreed <br />that Pedersen's pointed are valid, but pointed out that <br />the Council has taken a different approach in the last <br />couple of years and now holds periodic workshops with <br />the Commissions and Fire Department. <br />RAMSEY Scalze pointed out that the Ramsey County League is an <br />COUNTY important organization that the City interfaces with. <br />LEAGUE Scalze felt that the new Council Members would benefit <br />DELEGATE by involvement with this organization, and suggested <br />that the two new members could alternate attendance at <br />the meetings. Scalze reported that it was not <br />necessary that Little Canada be represented at every <br />meeting, and suggested attendance at six meetings per <br />year. Scalze offered her assistance during the year. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-1-11 - APPOINTING BOB PEDERSEN AS THE <br />CITY'S DELEGATE TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY LEAGUE OF LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENTS AND STEVE MORELAN AS THE ALTERNATE DELEGATE <br />FOR 1993 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Hanson. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the February <br />Ramsey County League meeting will be hosted by the City <br />of Little Canada. <br />CABLE TV Hanson reported that Bill Bruce has offered to <br />DELEGATE represent the City as its Cable TV delegate. Hanson <br />stated that he would like to discuss this further with <br />Bruce, and suggested that action on this matter be held <br />over. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page <br />the following resolution and <br />9 <br />
