MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 10, 1993 <br />station. Those individuals who have expressed an <br />interest thus far as well as City staff inembers who <br />will serve are: Bob Menge, Bev Scalze, Gene DeLonais, <br />the Emergenoy Services Director, Public Works <br />Superintendent, Park and Recreation Director, and <br />Building Official. Hanson asked anyone else interested <br />in serving to please contact City Hall. <br />COMMUNITY Hanson reported that there was a recent meeting of the <br />PRIDE Community Pride Committee. At that meeting it was <br />COMMITTEE reported that there is one property owner in Ryan <br />Industrial Park who still needs to the sign the Waiver <br />of Right to Appeal. Dave Germer has indicated that he <br />is confident that this property owner will sign. <br />Hanson also reported that the Committee discussed the <br />conditions at both ends of the Park, specifically the <br />Mogren and Frattalone properties. Also discussed was a <br />tree-scape plan on Rice Street that is being discussed <br />with the City of Roseville. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Planning <br />Commission will be discussing fencing and screening <br />requirements in the City's Industrial zoning district. <br />Scalze suggested that the Commission also look at the <br />Comprehensive Plan and recommend whether or not <br />updating of the Plan should be included on the 10% <br />Capital Improvement Listing. <br />Pedersen noted that there are some homes for sale along <br />Little Canada Road east of the railroad tracks. <br />Pedersen suggested that these properties could be <br />combined into one lot for redevelopment purposes. The <br />property is zoned commercial. Pedersen felt this was <br />an opportunity for redevelopment, and asked what the <br />Council could do to help redevelopment occur. <br />Scalze suggested that staff check into the ownership of <br />the property and report to the Council what options the <br />City would have for promoting redevelopment of this <br />area. <br />RELEAF The City Administrator presented to the Council the <br />PROGRAM proposed planting program under the ReLeaf Grant <br />Agreement. The proposal calls for the purchase of 580 <br />trees at a cost of approximately $21,096. These trees <br />would be sold to homeowners or businesses within the <br />City at 70% of the cost, with the grant program picking <br />up the remaining 30%. The Administrator reported that <br />order forms will be ready by the end of the month. The <br />program will be advertised in the next City newsletter <br />as well as in a special mailing.
