MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 8, 1993 <br />The Administrator also pointed out that a developer has <br />a year from approval in which to finalize a plat, and <br />this had not been done in the case of the Green Value <br />Addition. Therefore, the plat would have to come back <br />for a reapproval of the final plat. <br />Scalze felt it an excellent idea to address the <br />drainage issues in the area at the same time the road <br />would be upgraded, but commented that she wished the <br />County would have given the City more notice. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 93-6-171 - AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION <br />OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />STORM SEWER PROJECT, AND AUTAORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE DEVELOPERS OF THE <br />GREEN VALUE ADDITION REGARDING TAEIR PARTICIPATION IN <br />STORM SEWER COSTS, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO DISCUSS WITH THE COUNTY THE ISSUE OF <br />WIDENING OF THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD SHOULDER ON THE <br />SOUTH <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ASSESSMENT The City Administrator pointed out the need to schedule <br />POLICY an assessment policy workshop to finalize that policy <br />WORKSHOP as relates to corner lots and multiple-family <br />properties. The Administrator reported that the policy <br />must be finalized prior to the assessment hearings that <br />will be held late August or early September. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 93-6-172 - CALLING A COUNCIL WORK5HOP <br />MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JULY 14, 1993 AT 6:30 P.M. TO <br />DISCUSS THE CITY'S ASSESSMENT POLICY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WATER The City Administrator reported that earlier this year <br />RATES the Council enacted a water rate increase on winter <br />usage to pass on the water rate increase that the City <br />received from the 5t. Paul Board of Water <br />Commissioners. St. Paul increased the City's water <br />Page 17 <br />
