MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 15, 1993
to determine the City's options as well as to determine
if the leases are contingent upon the City's grantinq a
rotation schedule as stated in the Council's resolution
of June 8th.
That motion died for lack of a second.
Morelan recommended that the Council review each
premise permit application individually.
Mr. Morelan introduced the ~ollowing resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-6-176 - APPROVING A PREMISE PERMIT
APPLICATION FOR CLASS A LICEN5E FOR ST. JOSEPH'S
SOCIETY FOR CHARITY, INC. IN ORDER TO OPERATE BINGO AT
THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER LOCATED AT 2900 RICE
STREET AS REQUESTED NOTING THAT THE APPLICATION PACKAGE
INCLUDES A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH MKP, INC. WHICH
PROVIDES A ROTATION SCHEDULE FOR THE SITE WHICH ALLOWS
ST. JOSEPH'S SOCIETY TO OPERATE TWO NIGHTS PER WEEK AT
THE SITE SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH ALL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA'S GAMBLING
ORDINANCE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen.
Nays (1) Scalze. Resolution declared adopted.
Scalze indicated that she opposed this resolution since
it allows St. Joseph's Society two days of bingo
operation which results in one less day over what they
currently have. Scalze sta+_ed that she was not opposed
to St. Joe's being granted a premise permit, just the
fact that the permit would be limited to two days.
Morelan pointed out that the lease agreement and
rotation schedule is subject to negotiation at any
time.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-6-177 - APPROVING A PREMISE PERMIT
APPLICATION FOR CLASS A LICENSE FOR NORTH SUBURBAN
YOUTH ASSOCIATION IN ORDER TO OPERATE BINGO AT THE
MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER LOCATED AT 2900 RICE
STREET AS REQUESTED NOTING THAT THE APPLICATION PACKAGE
INCLUDES A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH MKP, INC.
