Hanson also thanked the members of the <br />Canadian Days Committee who gave a great deal of their <br />time and talents to put on this major undertaking. <br />CAPITOL Hanson reported that Capitol Community services is <br />COMMUNITY looking for volunteers to assist in their programs. <br />SERVICES Anyone interested can contact Mayor Hanson at 484-8846. <br />MUSIC IN Hanson reported that this evening the first of three <br />TIiE PARK "Music In The Park" performances has just begun this <br />evening. Hanson reported that the band was good and <br />there was a large crowd present. There will be two <br />more "Music In The Park" performances, one on August <br />18th and the other on August 25th. The performances <br />begin at 7 P.M. and will be held at the band shelter in <br />Spooner Park. <br />VACATION <br />DRAINAGE <br />& UTILITY <br />EASEMENT <br />IIUBB~IZD <br />PROPERTY <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing to consider the <br />vacation of a drainage and utility easement across the <br />Hubbard property located on County Road B. <br />The City Administrator reported that this easement was <br />dedicated for storm sewer construction in conjunction <br />with the St. Jude Medical project. However, the storm <br />sewer was installed in another location, and Mr. <br />Hubbard has granted another easement for that location. <br />Therefore, this first easement is no longer necessary. <br />There was no one from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Morelan, the public <br />hearinq was closed. <br />Page 2 <br />
