MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 11, 1993 presented to the Council this evening, and suggested that the Council review them and be prepared to act at a future Council meeting. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 93-8-248 - TABLING ACTION ON THE CITY CENTER USE POLICY UNTIL THE SEPTEMBER 8, 1993 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. STREET The City Administrator presented the proposed street ASSESSMENT assessment policy for Council action. The POLICY Administrator reported that he would be putting together some examples showing how assessments for various type lots would be calculated using the policy. The City Attorney reported that he had not completed his review of the policy, but assumed that it was in order. It was the consensus of the Council to review the calculation examples that will be part of the policy prior to the adoption of the policy itself. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93-8-249 - TABLING ACTION ON THE PROPOSED STREET ASSESSMENT POLICY UNTIL THE AUGUST 25, 1993 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 34 EAST The City Administrator reported that the City has been LITTLE given clearance to remove the structure at 34 East CANADA RD. Little Canada Road pursuant to court order. Bids have been taken for this demolition, with the low bid received from Disposal Systems in the amount of $3,920.00. The Administrator recommended award of the low bid subject to compliance with bid specifications. The City Attorney reported that the property owner's time for appeal ran out on July 12, 1993. Page 6
