MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1993 <br />FREDERICRS- The City Administrator submitted the proposed <br />HAVEN development agreement for Frederickshaven Second <br />DEVELOPME~IIT Addition. The Administrator reported that the <br />AGREII~iT development agreement incorporates the recommendations <br />of the Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation <br />Commission. The developers have agreed to the terms <br />and conditions of the agreement and have signed the <br />document. <br />The Administrator reported that there is an existing <br />15-inch trunk sanitary sewer line in the area o£ the <br />Frederickshaven plat. The City wants to ensure that <br />this line is in good condition prior to the developers <br />connecting to the line. Therefore, the City wants the <br />line televised, and repaired, if necessary, with the <br />developers to bear the cost of both televising and any <br />repairs. <br />Council aqreed. <br />Morelan asked about the letter of credit required of <br />the developers. <br />The City Administrator reported that the amount of the <br />letter of credit has not yet been determined, but <br />reported that typically it is 150% of the contract <br />amount. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-9-279 - APPROVING THE FREDERICKSHAVEN <br />SECOND ADDITION DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AS PRESENTED BY <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE DOCUMENT ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />HIRING The City Administrator reported that the City received <br />RECEPTIONIST over 50 applications for the position of receptionist. <br />Eleven applicants were tested and interviewed, and he <br />commented that he was impressed with the quality of the <br />candidates interviewed. Based on the review process, <br />it was the opinion of the City Administrator that Mary <br />Granley was the best candidate for the position. The <br />Administrator recommended that Mary Granley be hired <br />for the City's full-time receptionist position at a <br />starting wage of $8.55 per hour. <br />Page 6 <br />
